Gallop Racer 2006 PS2 is the latest version of this horse racing game and is developed for the PS2 machine. It allows up to 4 players to compete against each other on 42 tracks in most of the world's most famous flat races. The races are realistically created in a 3D arcade style setting a new standard to horse racing games. When racing you steer the horse as a jockey would do. The game offers an ingenious theme park with three modes of play. The game also allows you to customise races and play head to head against another player.
Gallop Racer 2004 PS2 is an earlier version of Gallop Racer which is still available for sale. In this version you start your career as a rookie jockey riding in lower class claiming races. As you improve, you are offered better horses in better races. Eventually you will end up with a stable and horses of your own with the opportunity to breed them to build up your own thoroughbred bloodline.
Similar to Gallop Racer in it's concept the G1 Jockey game allows you to develop a career as a horse racing jockey from rookie to expert in Group 1 races, hence the title. This is one game that allows you compete in national hunt jump races. It takes time to learn hwo to use the jockey controls to their best during the races so providing a steep learning curve to make the best of each horse. As with Gallop Racer you can eventually own and train your own horses.
In the PC horse racing game called Final Stretch you can be a professional jockey, a horse racing stable manager or just bet on the races. As you gain more money from winning races and boarding fees you move up to tougher levels of racing. The graphics are not as good as the Gallop Racer and G1 jockey but the game play is very in depth to simulate the real world of horse racing.
Available only for Windows Horse Racing Tycoon is a simpler but equally playable horse racing game including all of the main elements of stable management, breeding and betting expected of a horse racing simulation.
Designed for the PC and Mac Horse Racing Manager is a 3D game allowing you to manage your own racing stable in flat, jump races and even trot racing. Play as a manager, jockey or bet as a punter. It provides a solo mode and a multiplayer mode over an internet connection. You race on a 100 tracks around the world with both grass and turf surfaces in varying weather conditions. The full range of betting options are also provided.
Available for the PS2, XBox and PC Frankie Detorri Horse Racing is a another 3D horse racing game sponsored by the legend himself. Play as jockey and stable owner and bet on your the races all at the same time. Steer your horse to victory in many of the world's biggest horse races. Breed horses and hire and fire stable staff as you manage your way to the top.
